I have a Hitachi LCD Projection TV, I think 5 or 6 years old. It's starting to show a blue image on the screen. I remember that happening once before. The fix was either a new light engine (very expensive) or replacing the light bulb (less expensive these days it seems). Anyone know which it is likely to be? Or perhaps something else?
I've been using Dish TV DTH in India for the last 3 years - Recently i bought a 32" LCD with Full HD. The image quality is too bad on the new LCD (pixelation issue) and the display is kinda "stretched". Looks like the standard video signal is 4:3 and the display on the TV is stretched to support 16:9 (aspect ratio). Am i missing anything here? I even changed the Dishtv Settop box to support "wide" screen but it does not help.
While I'm going on anual leave to India I would like to take a 32" LCD TV. what will be the customs duty at the Indian Airport.

I hooked up my new HP dv6 laptop to my Sony Bravia LCD TV. Ever since then, when the laptop boots up to the 'log in' screen, the screen/monitor will have a yellow hue. Like looking through a yellow transperency sheet. The only way I can correct the problem is to go into the Display Setting and Calibrate the Laptop Screen. This works every time, and resorts the colours back to normal. I cannot seem to find what the problem is. It also happens when I hook my LCD monitor for dual screen, the monitor automatically comes up in with the yellow tint. HP dv6 Laptop Running Windows 7 - 64 Bit I have tried restarting and shutting down, pulling out the battery and starting back up - neither solved my problem. Thanks in advance for any help.
I cant find the cloth that came with the TV to clean it.what should i use

With the way my living room is designed, the best place for my 40" LCD TV with a surround sound system would be over the fireplace. I'm looking for advice on how to mount it to a brick fireplace and how to run and conceal wires going to and coming from the TV.
I'm doing a persuasive essay for my english class and it would really help if i knew what kinds of things people most often spend their tax returns on. I'm looking for something like the sales of LCD TVs went up 20% during tax return season or something like that.
I am planning to shift from 17" Samsung CRT monitor to some 23 or 24 inches LCD monitor. Because of the space constraint at home i want to dispose of the TV and use the same LCD Monitor as TV. My budget is 15k-16k On searching on net i found that LG (Model number M237WA) offers this facility with in built TV tuner card. Can you give any review on how good the product is? will i receive same feeling of watching tv on 23 inches LCD monitor TV? Can i connect local cable wire to the monitor directly? How is the audio output? Generally LCD monitor won't arrive with good speakers.if that is the case, is it possible to connect the monitor to external speakers? What is the life of the product? Is there any other brand offering every these facilities with in the given budget? please guide me .... Thanks for every in advance...

Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop and I recently bought an Elonex 32" HDMI LCD tv. With that I bought a a VGA cable to connect the two so i could watch movies from the laptop through the tv. At first i had trouble getting the picture to go from the laptop to the tv but i finally went into my graphics card and cloned the two devices and that worked perfectly. BUT about 2 weeks later i hooked up the vga cable again to watch a film and for some reason the picture wouldnt arrive up on the tv, every i got was ''no signal''. I tried colning the devices again, going into the display settings, pressing Fn+F8 and even changing the resolution but not one thing seems to work and I dont even know what happend or what i did wrong. It is beginning to really annoy me because i have no idea what i did wrong, especially with the tv and the vga cable only a couple of weeks old and the laptop is only 3 years old and every are working perfectly! So if anyone can help me at every, i would much appreciate it.
NEVER buy a Sony LCD television. We literally bought four (4) of these piece of junk starting Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 through Feb. 28, 2010. Three from Walmart and one from Sears. Each had issues within 2-5 days. We took every four (4) back based upon the advice of Sony Technicians, and I tried to call Sony to seek help. I spent a total of 3 1/2 hours over 3 days on the phone, mostly on hold, waiting to talk to a person. I finally was told "that is beyond our control, you need to talk to someone in Customer Relations. FYI, if you try to call Customer Relations at 1-239-768-7547 the first thing you will notice is it is a "long distance call." The second thing you will notice is you will be on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes. The third thing you will find is that you aren't calling Sony Customer Relations. You are calling Product Support, who will ask you dozens of the same question, until you have wasted more of your day. Only after you receive so mad you are ready to spit nails do they say "you need to talk to someone in Sony Customer Relations." Then the fun really begins, as Sony Customer Relations is only open on Monday through Friday. On top of that they are never available, and after being on hold for another 30 minutes someone will arrive on the phone and tell you that, and suggest you call back the next day. look the pattern here? And, after your blood pressure is sky high, then you will have a person arrive on the phone and tell you that “Sony does not compensation Customers for time and inconvenience, no matter how bad it has been.“ And, they will also say “since you returned the defective tv they can not assist you until you buy another of their tvs.” Anyone else look the problem here? The unhappy part is we were willing to try the new Sony KDL40 EX400, but as compensation for every of the issues we have faced every we asked was them to send us a $40.00 set of the Sony HDMI cables for our tv. But, apparently they do not care about their Customers. I told them that I no longer buy Sony, and I will make sure no one else makes the same mistake. This company isn't the Sony you and I grew up with. They are a joke, their products are junk and their Customer Service is the worst I have ever experienced besides Dell Computers. We will go with the Vizio or Samsung. I will admit I am picky, but the screen going completely black is a bit too much to swallow. What amazed me the most is how I was treated by the Reps and Customer Relations. They talked like this is a "rare" situation, but the best they could do was suggested we go try another Sony tv and buy Sony HDMI cables instead of using the ones our Cable Compay provided. I think after the first 2 tvs someone should have been offering to send us a free one, but I never even asked for that. I think what made me the angriest was being put on hold continually, only to be told there is nothing they can do. They new that the minute I called, but every person wasted my time. I warned them I was going to post as much bad feedback as I could, and this is just part of it. Just so no more genuises think it was the HDMI cables, we went to the store and got a set of the hollier than thou Sony cables. It didn't fix the issue that the TV SCREEN KEEPS GOING BLACK!!!!!! If I sound ticked please know that I am. I keep getting e-mails from Sony saying "we are sorry for your issues, but we appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our service to our customers." Well, Sony can go F itself, and that is what I wrote to them. Do they actually think I give a crap about how they treat other Sony Customers? This is about me, and to me is just proves they don't care about their customers. It also says that they know they screwed up, because I have been told by more than one "Customer Relations" staff, which is a term that I use very lightly, that "if I was in your shoes I would not have gotten to the 4th television." Really? Yet they won't do a thing about it.
Hi, I want to buy a new LCD TV in India. I am interested in Sony/Sam sung or LG. Mostly i will be going for 40 to 46 inch LCD TV with HDTV. i have a budget of 70 to 80 K to spend on LCD. What is the best brand to go for. My research says that people support Sony but i think thats too much hyped. Also do any cable operators provide HD output to look on these flat panels. If not i think going for 32 to 40 will be a better option because i will receive more clear picture with 32inch panel rather then 46inch panel as every these LDC have a native resolutions which will be same. So Normal quality will look good for smaller inch LCD Panel and if its HDTV(cable output) then big screens will definitely look awesome.. Help me decide guys...

If I plug a surge protector into the wall that has Coaxial protection for cable and plug my LCD HD TV into the wall surge protector then plug a power strip surge protector that has a switch on it into the wall surge protector(for my slim PS3, which does not have an on or an off switch so it stays in stand-by, I like to turn it off with the surge strip power switch). Will both my TV, and PS3 be protected? What if the surge strip is non-functional(its old) but I just want to use it as a switch, will the PS3 still be protected? Thanks-

I recently hooked up my NES to a Vizio LCD HDTV. I was playing Mike Tyson's punchout, a game I have played for almost 20 years and can beat without much difficulty when playing on a regular tube tv. So I decided to play Mike Tyson, figuring I would have no problem, and then every of the sudden, I couldn't receive out of the way of his punches anymore!! As difficult as I tried, I couldn't receive through the first 1:30! Has anybody else experienced a lag in gameplay or considerably slower controller reaction when playing NES on an LCD TV? And is there anything I can do to fix that?
i tried messing with every the settings but i could not figure it out at every.
